Rewards

GRE Anomalies are great ways of getting inhibitors. Each time you complete this side activity you'll be rewarded with two inhibitors. They're very important for upgrading your character. You'll find more information regarding inhibitors and upgrading your character on separate pages of the guide:
- Character progression
- Immunity - how does it work?
- Stamina - how to restore?
- Healing - how to restore health
In addition to 2 inhibitors each time you complete this acivity you'll obtain 1,500/3,000/3,500/4,000 Combat XP, plus more for eliminating the regular enemies in the area.
Night activity
![GRE Anomalies are night activities - Dying Light 2: GRE anomalies - list and locations - Side activities - Dying Light 2 Guide](/dying-light-2/gfx/word/688335093.jpg)
GRE Anomalies are night activities . This means you won't be able to do them during the day - you won't encounter your foe and you won't reach the GRE Inhibitor Crate.
![To reach this inhibitor, you first need to complete a task - Dying Light 2: GRE anomalies - list and locations - Side activities - Dying Light 2 Guide](/dying-light-2/gfx/word/688335109.jpg)
To reach this inhibitor, you first need to complete a task. At the site of the GRE anomaly, you need to kill an enemy called the Revenant. It will only appear at night, from 8pm. If you arrive at the location too early and don't see the enemy, just leave the area and return after the specified time.
Killing your opponent is not complicated. This zombie is quite mobile, often changing its position in battle and it can also summon a pack of regular enemies. It's a good idea to fight it on any sort of higher ground, e.g. on containers. After killing the main foe you should get rid of its flunkies as well, to keep them from interfering with your exploration and to get even more Combat EXP.
Objectives
To complete a GRE anomaly you must fulfill three objectives:
- Kill the Revenant;
- Open the container (the hatch is always on the top);
- Take the inhibitors.
By fulfilling all three objectives you'll complete the quest and receive 1,500/3,000/3,500/4,000 Combat XP.
Quick tips
![Before entering an area with the GRE Anomaly you should equip a strong weapon in good condition - Dying Light 2: GRE anomalies - list and locations - Side activities - Dying Light 2 Guide](/dying-light-2/gfx/word/688335156.jpg)
Before entering an area with the GRE Anomaly you should equip a strong weapon in good condition. You can get them from missions, from chests or buy them from merchants. Fast-hitting weapons are ideal, as they allow you to hit hard and quick. The enemy is very agile and moves a lot, which means two-handed heavy weapons can make the fight more difficult for you.
You can also use a bow if you like to keep your distance from the infected. You'll find information on how to get a bow on the First bow - how to get? page.
![It's also a good idea to unlock some combat skills - Dying Light 2: GRE anomalies - list and locations - Side activities - Dying Light 2 Guide](/dying-light-2/gfx/word/688335171.jpg)
It's also a good idea to unlock some combat skills. Don't immediately go after anomalies with a basic build. Only do so after already distributing some points. This should let you complete the activity in just a minute or two, saving you some nerves.
The skills you should initially invest combat points into are:
- Perfect Dodge,
- Air Kick,
- Precise Aiming.
More info about weapons and skills can be found on pages:
- List of the best weapons
- Best build

You also can't forget about Medkits. You should prepare some before entering the arena. In a critical situation you can jump onto a container and heal yourself to avoid a gruesome death. As a reminder, death only makes you lose the bonuses earned at night, not all of your experience points.
