Blightweaver - Great Centipede in a nutshell
- You'll find stone structures covered with protective amulets and charms in the arena. If the boss destroys such a structure, it will take damage and get stunned for a while. The catch is that after it recovers, it'll use a special magic attack, firing five projectiles at you.
- The boss can inflict Corruption by creating a poisonous cloud and Burn if it hits you with its front legs. High resistance to both is recommended.
- Great Centipede can burrow underground, protecting itself from your attacks. Only when it emerges will you have a brief moment to attack it.
- The boss is not immune to fire so we reccomend inflicting Burn on it.
- While its name suggests it may be associated with Blight, it doesn't have any attacks that inflict it.
Blightweaver - Great Centipede's attacks
- Magic Seal - the boss can fire five quick shots at you. This happens if it destroys a stone monument.
- Charge - it quickly attacks with its front legs, attaches itself to the ground, pushes back and rushes towards the player. It has five such moves and all of them are very quick.
- Toxic Cloud - it releases a purple cloud from its backside. Staying inside of the cloud will inflict Corruption.
- Sweeping Strike - raising its front legs, the Great Centipede slams into the ground with great force. This attack will also apply some Burn.
- Burrowing - at some point the boss will bury itself in the ground. You won't be able to lock on to it, but you can tell where it is by observing the ground. Run away if you see fire - the boss will soon emerge from that spot. If it hits you, it will inflict Burn on you.
- 4 hit combo - after each hit the boss moves slightly forward.
- Lunge and spin - the boss will attach its antennae from its back to its head. Once they start glowing purple, the Great Centipede will spin and quickly move towards Wuchang.
How to fight Blightweaver - Great Centipede?
You should stick close to the opponent's abdomen at the very beginning of the fight. The boss is large, so most of its attacks will miss if you're not in front of it. Despite its size, it doesn't have that much health, so it's worth using combos, pairing them with various weapon techniques.
When you notice that the boss is charging at you, you should approach the structure shown in the picture. When the boss destroys it, it will take damage and get stunned for a short while. There are several structures in the arena. The catch is that right afterwards it will create a magic seal and fire five shots at you. The shots are fired one after another in a rhythm, so if you get the timing right, it's worth taking advantage of the attack and weaken the boss a bit.
It's most dangerous attack is definitely emerging from the ground. Dodge to the side as soon as you see fiery ground forming beneath you. Don't dawdle, or you'll get hit. Moreover, the boss repeats this attack several times, so be prepared to dodge a few times as well. If you do it right, you can attack the boss each time it comes out.
