In the Wedding Hall, you'll find the Perfect Bride - Fang Ling, who turns into a Chimera in the second phase of the fight. This encounter is difficult because it requires defeating two different bosses with completely different move sets. Check out this page of our Wuchang Fallen Feathers guide to deal with them easily.

Perfect Bride - Fang Ling in a nutshell

  1. Attack the opponent's back often - it won't be difficult, and it may allow you to effectively land a strong charged attack on the boss. The same applies to attacks from the side. Stun will make Obliterate possible. For this reason, go for this way of attacking after each slower attack.
  2. Skills like Block, Deflect or Clash will be crucial in the first phase. Thanks to them, many of her offensive actions won't be a threat to you.
  3. Needle - Leech as the main Temperance will be a pretty good choice, as the boss can attack often, and you can never have too much extra health recovery. This is especially important when you perform Clash attacks because then you will restore lost health quite quickly.
  4. The boss can apply Poise Break. When this status is fully charged, you will lose a lot of health and your stance will also weaken. High resistance to this status will be advisable.
  5. The boss deals mainly Slash and Stab damage, so any armor that protects well against this type of damage will be worth wearing.

Perfect Bride - Fang Ling's attacks

  1. 4 air shots - a very common attack that the boss also performs at the beginning of the fight. The boss keeps performing it throughout the encounter. The Bride flies into the air and then, after a moment, fires four red projectiles. After the fourth, she lands on the ground. She can either land in the same spot or land on you, so be prepared to dodge.
  1. Spinning jump - Perfect Bride can jump and then perform several spin attacks in a straight line. Each of them deals damage and applies Poise Break. This attack can be easily avoided by dodging to the side.
  1. Fire laser - the chimera's head will glow, and after a moment, it will shoot a laser in a straight line, leaving a fiery path behind it.
  1. Stun - the boss can shout and stun you, forcing you to mash the button that appears on the screen.
  2. Grab and stab - if the boss's swords start to glow, it means she's preparing to stab you. When she hits you, a short grabbing animation will start.
  3. Black flame stabs - Perfect Bride also has several attacks where she thrusts with a sword covered in black flame and stabs you. The sword can extend, so dodging backwards may be a bad idea.
  1. Scissor attack - if you notice the boss crossing two daggers, she might use them to cut you as if they were scissors. The pace is steady and she attacks several times, even up to 5 times.

How to fight Perfect Bride - Fang Ling?

You can parry most of Perfect Bride's attacks with Clash or Deflect, so remember to use them throughout the fight. Be careful with the spinning jump, as each hit applies a lot of Poise Break. Fortunately, you can easily avoid this attack by dodging to the side.

Most of Perfect Bride's attacks are performed in a straight line, so any sideways dodge will allow you to attack her from the side or behind. That's where she's most vulnerable. Charged attacks will always land, so the Obliterate attack will be used frequently. This is the main strategy for this boss.

Before the fight, it is worth putting on the Needle - Leech Temperance, because each Clash will deal some damage to you anyway, and thanks to this, you will quickly regain lost health.

Once you learn the correct timing of her attacks, the fight will become relatively easy. Charged attacks will even work from the side. Still, it's worth landing your attacks when your enemy is finishing their combos (unless you use a lot of Clash attacks). Otherwise, the opponent will be able to avoid them with a quick dash. After performing Obliterate, when the boss is on the ground, complete the entire sequence of light attacks.

Chimera - Fang Ling in a nutshell

  1. After defeating Perfect Bride - Fang Ling, the fight against the second boss, Chimera, will begin. Once again, you will need to bring your entire health bar down to 0 to be able to end this fight and move on.
  2. The Dracolich Pendant will allow you to continue attacking while the boss roars. Additionally, it will slightly increase your physical resistance.
  3. Skills like Clash or Deflect will be of no use, as the boss does not use any weapons. That's why it's important to know when to dodge.
  4. The boss is large and it's easy to use this to your advantage. Try to stay close, especially when behind her back. It takes a long time for her to spin, so you'll be safe.
  5. Chimera deals mostly Blunt damage. However, she also has a similar fire laser that you may have noticed in the Perfect Bride fight.
  6. It's worth leaving at least one Needle - Leech for the fight against Chimera, especially if you don't have many healing potions.

Chimera - Fang Ling's attacks

  1. Roar - the boss may start roaring during the fight. If Wuchang stands directly in front of her when it happens, you might get stunned.
  2. Charges - a very common attack that starts the boss fight. The boss charges in a straight line. When she gets close and you don't dodge to the side, she will ram you.
  1. Paw attack and spin - Chimera will first attack you with her right paw, then make a 180-degree turn and hit you with her tail.
  1. Laser circle - the Chimera's head will glow, and after a moment, it will shoot a laser that will leave a fiery path behind it. When performing this attack, the boss will start spinning around, leaving a trail of fire behind her.
  1. Laser frenzy - first, the boss will start shooting a laser, then she will raise her head up and shoot a beam of fire at the ceiling. After a while, giant projectiles will start falling in random directions.
  2. Biting - the Chimera will start biting in a straight line. This attack has very little maneuverability, so it is best to stand at the side of the arena when she performs it.

How to fight Chimera - Fang Ling?

Since Chimera has less HP than Perfect Bride, the fight with her should end faster. The boss is not very agile. Apart from the tail attack, she has no attacks that could hit if you're standing on the side, so it is worth shortening the distance.

When she performs a spinning laser attack, quickly move away from her; otherwise, you will take a lot of damage and be pushed back a considerable distance.

When the boss performs a bite or a laser frenzy, quickly position yourself next to her and start attacking. These are the best opportunities where you will be able to perform up to 2 light attack sequences, obtain Skyborn Might, and use them for weapon techniques.

If giant projectiles are falling in random directions in the arena, it's worth keeping an eye on where they're falling. Stop attacking the boss, as there is a good chance you will be hit.
