Wuchang Fallen Feathers: How to defeat Bo Magus?

You can encounter Bo Magus at the end of the 4th region, in the Palace Entrance. The opponent attacks mainly with magical attacks. Bo Magus in a nutshell

1. Bo Magus is a sorceress who deals mainly magical damage. She rarely uses physical attacks, so focus on magical defense and avoiding her attacks.
2. The boss has many spells of different elements at her disposal. The color her weapon glows indicates what element she will use. For example, if her weapon is purple, expect Corruption, if blue, expect Frost.
3. Bo Magus has very little physical defense against Blunt damage. Therefore, the best choice will be to fight with an Axe.
4. Use abilities that facilitate movement to defeat Magus faster. This will make it easier for you to catch up with her when she disappears and teleports to a different place.
5. The boss can be thrown off balance, but only for a short moment. You can't use Obliterate.
6. It is worth using a spell that will allow you to avoid her area of effect attack (golden sword). Burning Flames is perfect for this, as it not only deals damage to the boss, but also allows you to avoid this powerful attack. You need 3x Skyborn Might to use it.

Bo Magus' attacks

1. Feather shot - the boss will rise into the air, then flap her wing and shoot out feathers that will follow Wuchang. This attack is very similar to the one performed by Vermilion Feathers - Honglan.

1. Wave of destruction - Bo Magus first creates several purple flames in front of her, then she swings her weapon and the wave will begin to expand. This attack deals a lot of damage and inflicts the Corruption status.

1. Golden afterimages - when the boss glows gold, she can create an afterimage of a large enemy three times that attacks at the same intervals. Slamming a hammer into the ground does not count as an attack. Dragging it on the ground is treated as such.

1. Spear throw - the boss forms a magical spear, flying into the air and glowing red. After a moment, she will throw it towards the player.
2. Summoning undead - undead creatures may emerge from the ground beneath your feet, grabbing you and immobilizing for a moment. They will deal small damage and inflict the Despair status.

1. Air charge - the opponent can also glow white and then, while in the air, she can fly towards Wuchang, dealing damage on hit.

1. Golden sword area attack - this is one of the boss's most dangerous attacks. At around 70% HP, Bo Magus will take to the air. She will then be invulnerable to attacks. After a moment, a golden sword will materialize and fall onto the arena once the characteristic sound stops. The area is not very large. However, after a while, the sword will explode and hit everything in the arena, dealing very heavy damage.

1. Frost wind - when the boss's weapon starts glowing blue, she will hit the ground three times after a short while. With each hit, the attack's area of impact will become larger. This attack inflicts the Frostbite status.

1. Giant sword combo - Bo Magus can also create a giant sword that she swings repeatedly. It has a huge range. These attacks are very often horizontal. It is worth avoiding them in the direction from which the swing begins.

How to fight Bo Magus?

Charged attacks will be crucial against this opponent, as she will often flee to a safer position after taking damage. Such a blow will be able to throw her off balance for a moment, allowing you to attack her a few times.

The attack you should watch out for is the golden sword area attack. When the boss flies high into the air, quickly move away from her to avoid taking damage from the first explosion. You should avoid the second explosion with the Burning Flames spell. If used at the right moment, it will negate the damage and also harm the opponent.

Once the enemy surrounds herself with a red barrier, you will have to land several blows to destroy it. While she is protected, the boss will not take any damage. Breaking her posture will also be impossible. Therefore, attack whenever you have the opportunity, but do not overdo it.
