Bo Sorcerer is a bird-woman who can strike quickly, cast magical spells, is very agile and elusive. She’s a real challenge for many players. That’s why it’s good to know her weaknesses if you want to beat her. On this page of the Wuchang Fallen Feathers guide, you’ll learn everything you need to know to beat this boss.

Bo Sorcerer in a nutshell

  1. Bo Sorcerer fights using a sword and elemental magic. If she strikes with a sword, you use Clash against her.
  2. Having high resistance against Magic, Stab, and Slash is essential. She deals a lot of damage, especially with her sword and when attacking from above. That’s why the Divine Ward spell is also helpful - it boosts your defense for 3 Skyborn Might.
  3. Needle - Leech is a smart choice for this fight, given the boss’s high damage output. The more you heal, the better your chances of winning the fight.
  4. The fight is divided into two phases. In the second phase, the opponent gains access to more powerful spells. Additionally, her sword attacks release projectile slashes into the air.
  5. Stunning Bo Sorcerer is very difficult - but not impossible. She regularly flies up and changes her position mid-fight.The Longsword is perfect for this fight, thanks to its fast, long-range charged attack.
  6. We recommend using the Longsword and the Axe - specifically the Empyrean Greataxe with the Empyrean Crash ability - as your main weapons, along with using Swift Draw. The Longsword is generally better for targeting the boss's weak points, while the Axe lets you quickly close the distance between you.
  7. Helping the White-Robed Elder in the Refugee Camp also lets you summon him in battle using the Bone Whistle.
  8. There's a huge tree in the arena. It’s especially useful in the second phase, as it helps you avoid tornadoes and icicles.

Bo Sorcerer's attacks

  1. Golden slashes - Bo Sorcerer will rise into the air and start swinging her sword. She starts with two quick slashes coming your way. If you dodge the first attack, the second one shouldn’t hit you either. After that, she fires two additional slashes, the fourth one being horizontal. She’ll follow by landing on top of you or just a short distance away if you were close to her. The landing deals massive damage, so make sure to avoid it.
  1. Feather burst - Bo Sorcerer rises slightly above the ground and attacks with her sword. She’ll then start spinning and shooting out several golden feathers that explode.
  1. Four air swings - the boss rises into the air, attacks slowly, then quickly spin attacks twice. She ends the combo with another slower slash.
  1. Hard landing - she flies up and then crashes down hard right on top of you. Once her legs glow a stronger golden hue, she’ll drop down.
  2. Spin charge - Bo Sorcerer grabs her sword with both hands, spins through the air, and charges at you. She'll try to cut through you, then strike again after landing.
  3. Water bubbles - when the boss starts spinning and swings her left hand, it means she's about to create a water bubble. She'll do it twice.
  1. Tornado - at the start of the second phase, the boss will summon several tornadoes. They move slowly, but constantly follow you.
  1. Icicles - the boss may also begin launching ice projectiles that take a long while to summon. Soon after, several dozen icicles will shoot quickly at Wuchang.
  1. Four spins and a slash - the boss becomes more aggressive in the second phase. Bo Sorcerer can perform four rapid spins while swinging her sword. After a moment, she'll fire a golden projectile at the player.
  2. Grab - when you hear the bell ringing, it means the boss is about to grab you from above very quickly for high damage. After she drops you, she'll fire a golden projectile at you.
  1. Sword projectiles - in the second phase, the boss will frequently fire projectiles while her sword glows gold.

How to fight Bo Sorcerer?

Bo Sorcerer often flies up to the air and away from you, making the fight very frustrating, especially if you rely on quick, weaker attacks. You'll have to settle for charged heavy strikes. It’s best to use a Longsword, since it has good range, charges faster than an axe, and is pretty precise.

When Bo Sorcerer fires feathers, move away quickly. As soon as she lands, dodge and immediately hit her with a charged strike. Hitting her back or her side will stun her, letting you Obliterate her. After that, use Swift Draw to switch to your axe and quickly close the gap by lunging at her.

The key to winning is learning her timings. For example, stay close to dodge the water bubbles easily - you can weave around them and also damage her while you’re at it. Keep an eye on her legs when she's in the air and getting ready to land. If they glow gold, get ready (unless she's doing air slashes).

Always dodge to the side - lots of her attacks can miss, leaving her open for a backstab. In phase two, when her sword glows gold, get ready - she’s about to shoot a quick projectile at you.

When the second phase begins, quickly hide behind a tree. Any tornado or icicle that hits the tree disappears. You can take cover there to heal and buff.
