Eternal Glory - Zhao Yun, also known as the White-Robed Elder, can become an optional boss in Wuchang Fallen Feathers. However, this requires completing a series of tasks for this NPC. If you want to learn how to do this and how to defeat this boss, read our guide.

How to fight Eternal Glory - Zhao Yun?

To be able to face Zhao Yun, you must first find him in the Refugee Camp and talk to him. Then offer to help him defeat Bo Magus. You don't have to summon him when fighting this boss, but after accepting his quest, you will have the opportunity to do so.

Once you succeed, you will need to get to Bo Capital, the fifth and final region in the game. You will do this after defeating The Reborn and Dragon Emperor - Zhu Youjian.

Finally, head to the Avian Dwelling and then to the Tomb. To get there, walk across the tree log from the altar in this location, and you will notice a small bridge on the left. Cross it and go up.

Eternal Glory - Zhao Yun in a nutshell

  1. The boss deals Slash and Stab damage. High defense against these specific types of attacks is recommended. It is worth equipping, for example, the Ghost Warrior Set.
  2. Eternal Glory is also capable of inflicting the Frostbite status, so a high defense against this element will also come in handy here.
  3. Needle - Leech, as well as attacks with the Clash property, will be quite useful here. Therefore, we recommend fighting this opponent with an Axe.
  4. The boss has two phases, but one health bar. In the second, his attacks create specters that attack very similarly to the boss, but have trouble with accuracy at close range.
  5. The boss's weak point is his back, so it's worth approaching him from behind and attacking him with a charged attack.

Eternal Glory - Zhao Yun's attacks

Most of the enemy's attacks involve the spear. They don't differ much from each other, and the boss uses different series of attacks very often. Below, we'll list unique attacks that are worth watching out for and are specific enough that you'll know how to react when you spot them.

  1. Counter - when Eternal Glory holds his spear as shown in the picture, he will counter any strike by retreating and dealing damage. This also applies to offensive spells.
  1. Ice ground - the boss jumps into the air and then lands and creates icicles around himself that will apply Frostbite.
  1. Sword laser - Eternal Glory will first raise his sword into the air, summoning a beam of light. It deals little damage if you stand close to the boss. The opponent will then swing his sword forward. The range of this attack is very large.
  1. Slash projectile - the boss swings his spear and creates several slash projectiles that fly very quickly towards Wuchang.
  2. Phantom afterimages - in the second phase, when Eternal Glory attacks, he creates afterimages of itself that also attack.
  3. Thrust and grab - when you hear the distinctive bell sound and the boss jumps into the air holding the spear, expect a long-range attack. When he hits you, the boss does a grappling animation during which you will take constant damage.

How to fight Eternal Glory - Zhao Yun?

The tactics for fighting this opponent may seem a bit strange, but it is the best way to defeat this opponent. Once you enter the arena and get close to the boss, activate Leech - Needle to use lifesteal on your attacks. Be sure to attack the opponent with attacks with the Clash property. Stay very close to the boss - your damage and lifesteal will be enough. At level 85, the charged axe attack will deal damage to the boss and also restore as much health as you receive from the enemy.

Try to get behind the opponent and attack his back with a charged attack. This will allow you to use Obliterate. However, remember not to get too close to the boss after damaging him with this critical hit, as he always attacks when he gets up from the ground. However, if you feel confident in dodging, perform it at the right moment to get Skyborn Might.

In the second phase, under no circumstances should you move away from the boss. If you do that, his afterimages will deal heavy damage. When you get very close to the enemy, they have a very small chance of hitting you. Doing this will allow you to avoid the new attacks of the second phase. This is a huge help, as the afterimages can attack alternately with the boss, making the fight unnecessarily difficult.
