Feathery Ambition - Xuanyangzi is the final boss of Wuchang Fallen Feathers. If you want to finish the game, this boss will stand in your way. Defeating him is a bit of a challenge, so it's worth learning his moves. Our guide will tell you how to fight this opponent.

Feathery Ambition - Xuanyangzi in a nutshell

1. If you found the Storyteller in Bo Capital, you will be able to summon him during this fight. You can do that thanks to the Bone Whistle.
2. The boss deals Blunt and Slash damage. You should have high resistance to this type of damage.
3. Needle - Leech will be an excellent choice in this fight - thanks to it, you will have no problem surviving.
4. The boss often attacks from the front, so approaching him from behind will make you safer.
5. As this is the final boss, make good use of your consumables. Plumed Branches will be especially useful, giving you up to 5 Skyborn Might, so you can spam spells or weapon skills.
6. The boss is very vulnerable to fire and the Burn status, so using 2x Burning Flames should apply this effect to him.

Feathery Ambition - Xuanyangzi's attacks

1. Three paw strikes - the boss performs a series of three blows, the first two of which are fast attacks, and the third is slightly slower.

1. Wing attack - an attack with a large range. First, the boss attacks with one wing, then the other, and finally with both at the same time. The tempo is the same for each attack.

1. Sword shot - when attacking with a sword, the boss can shoot a laser in a straight line that has a very long range.

1. Attack after jumping - Feathery Ambition will take off into the air and land after a moment. When landing, he will strike the ground with his sword.
2. Foot stomps - when the boss starts running on two legs, at some point he will raise his leg several times and start stomping on everything in front of him.

1. Water walls - in the second phase, when the boss's health drops to 50%, he will fly to the other end of the arena and then create several water walls. The next wall isn't visible until you get past the previous one, which you can do by running sideways.
2. Lightning flight - the boss will fly through the sky, creating lightning bolts at random spots in the arena.

1. Geysers - Feathery Ambition can also stick his sword into the ground and create geysers in near Wuchang, which will shoot water upwards after a short while, dealing damage.

How to fight Feathery Ambition - Xuanyangzi?

The boss will often rise into the air and change his position, so it is worth using skills that allow you to move around the arena. It is important to stay close to Feathery Ambition, as most of his attacks are performed in a straight line. Due to his size, the boss has trouble hitting you when you are next to him - to his side, or behind him.

Light attacks are more profitable, and switching weapons with Swift Draw will also be helpful. Unfortunately, in this fight, the properties of attacks such as Clash or Deflect are useless, because the boss very often attacks with hands, feet and magic, and rarely with a regular weapon.

While it may seem difficult, the tactic itself is quite simple - stay close to him. If you manage to do this and literally walk into the boss, most of his attacks will miss you, while you will be able to attack him continuously.
