D.I.C.E. Awards - Untitled Goose Game Wins Game of the Year
We've learned the winners of the next edition of D.I.C.E. Awards. The Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences has chosen Untitled Goose Game as the best game of last year. The title from House House Games has won three statuettes.

Although it's already mid-February, the season for last year's summaries is still on. Last night the winners of the D.I.C.E. Awards, i.e. prestigious prizes awarded by The Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences, were announced. The winner in the most important category, which may come as a slight surprise to some, was Untitled Goose Game. Developed by House House Games, the humorous independent game about a malicious goose causing problems for the inhabitants of a small village defeated such hits as Death Stranding from Hideo Kojima, Disco Elysium or Control. Moreover, the title received an award for the best independent game and the best realized character.
However, most statuettes were won by Control. The latest work by the Finnish studio Remedy (the devs of the iconic Max Payne, for example) won in the categories of Outstanding Achievement in Game Direction, Action Game of the Year, Outstanding Achievement in Original Music Composition and Outstanding Achievement in Art Direction. Two awards went to Death Stranding.

We would like to remind that last year's biggest winner of the D.I.C.E. Awards was God of War. The Santa Monica studio's games beat its great competitor, Red Dead Redemption II.
