Who is the College of Glamour subclass for?

1. College of Glamour is one of the easiest subclasses to master, as it only gives you two features. You can choose it at level 3. This subclass is based on increasing the team's endurance by distributing temporary health points as well as taking turns away from the most powerful enemies. If you want to play as a bard supporting the team and influencing the bosses' minds, this subclass might be a good choice for you.
2. Charisma is definitely the most important statistic here. You should also invest in high Constitution and Dexterity.

Most important features of this subclass

1. At level 3, you unlock your key feature - Mantle of Inspiration. It's an alternative to your Bardic Inspiration. You can choose two team members and cast the Mantle of Inspiration effect on them. They will gain 5 temporary health points. If they are hit by a melee attack while the effect is on, the enemy who hit them will become charmed.
2. At level 6, you unlock the second feature of this subclass: Mantle of Majesty. Its effect lasts for ten turns and requires Concentration. While the Mantle of Majesty is active, during each turn you can cast a Command spell with a bonus action, forcing the opponent to perform a specific action. If the opponent is charmed, they cannot defend themselves against the spell - it will always work. You can activate the Mantle of Majesty only once per long rest.
3. At level 6, the Mantle of Inspiration will also be improved - from this point on, it will provide 8 temporary health points and will affect 3 allies. At level 10, it gets upgraded once again - now, it'll give 11 temporary health points and will affect 4 allies.

How to play as a College of Glamour Bard?

1. The main purpose of the College of Glamour subclass is to keep your team alive thanks to the Mantle of Inspiration. Temporary health points will help them survive more powerful attacks, while charming enemies whenever your allies are hit practically guarantees that they will have to redirect their attacks.
2. A College of Glamour Bard can also neutralize bosses thanks to the Mantle of Majesty. The Mantle of Majesty effect works even on the most powerful enemies; if you have managed to charm an enemy, they cannot defend themselves against you. You can order them to drop their weapon or lie on the ground, while the rest of the team can freely attack them.
3. You can use the Mantle of Majesty only once per long rest, so save it for the toughest battles. Moreover, keeping it up requires Concentration. Therefore, it is worth equipping either items that help you maintain Concentration or the Warcaster feat that gives you an Advantage in Concentration checks. Besides, keep in mind that you can concentrate only on one spell at a time - if you cast another spell requiring Concentration, you will immediately break your concentration on the Mantle of Majesty.
