Baldurs Gate 3: Moon puzzle solution

While traversing the Shattered Sanctum (accessed from the Goblin Camp), you can run into rotating discs on the lower level, symbolizing the phases of the moon. Solving this puzzle opens the way into the Underdark.

Intended solution

Position yourself so that the lit disc is at the top. Next, click on the discs in this order to rotate them:

1. 1x left disc,
2. 1x upper disc,
3. 1x lower disc,
4. 1x right disc,
5. 2x bottom disc,
6. 2x upper disc,
7. 2x right disc,
8. 1x upper disc,
9. 1x right disc.

It should be noted this sequence will only work if you haven't tried solving this puzzle before. If you have, load a previous save and try again.

Lockpicking the way forward

You can also use a lockpick (Perception check required) to pull a lever hidden deep in this room, behind the stone bench, as pictured above. This also opens the way to the Underdark.
