Cyberpunk 2077: How to skip and change time of day?

On this page, you will find out how to skip time and change time of day in Cyberpunk 2077. You might want to skip time to gain access to some quests, or just explore the city at your favorite time of day.

Time in Cyberpunk 2077 goes much faster than in the real world, of course, but you may still want to change the time of day on demand, e.g. to visit a location at night.

You will find the desired Skip Time option in the main pause menu. You can also access it by pressing ESC in any pause sub-menu. You have to click the Skip Time button next to the digital watch.

You will be asked how many hours you want to skip.

Time acceleration can also be useful in some quests. In a sample mission from the picture, you can learn from the description that the bar should be visited between 6 pm and 6 am. Thanks to time skiping, you can get down to business right away.

Why can't I skip time? In some cases, the option will be disabled. The main reasons for this are:

1. Being in the middle of an important quest. In some larger quests when the watch is additionally stopped.
2. Staying in the wrong place - try to go out into the open.
3. Being in combat - escape or defeat the enemies.
