Cyberpunk 2077: What types of Cars will I find in the game?
As the world of Cyberpunk 2077 is a huge metropolis, you can navigate through it using various means of transport. On this guide page, we explain what vehicles and other means of transport are available in the game. You will also find out if you can fly over Night City and how does the garage work.
- Types of vehicles - what can I drive?
- V's vehicles - how to obtain them?
- Airplanes / flying machines - can you use them?
- Can you lose your car?
- Boats - are they available in the game?
- Public transport - is it in the game?
Types of vehicles - what can I drive?
The two main types of vehicles are cars and motorcycles.

There are many types of cars in the game. You can drive small cars, hatchbacks, sedans, pick-ups, sports cars, SUVs, vans, cars converted to travel the badlands, or luxury limousines.
Almost all the vehicles in the game are fictional, although their designs may to some extent refer to real vehicles (e.g. Cadillacs). The only exception to this rule is Porsche 911. The game features the classic 930 generation of this extremely popular sports car.

In Cyberpunk 2077, you can also drive commercial vehicles, which mainly include vans and trucks.

As for motorcycles, there is an informal division into city and enduro motorcycles. The interesting thing here is that the game features Arch, a real motorcycle brand co-owned by Keanu Reeves. The authors cooperated with the Arch to prepare several futuristic-looking motorcycles, which can be treated as visions of how Arch machines could look like in a few decades.
V's vehicles - how to obtain them?

Cyberpunk 2077 has the option to permanently add new vehicles to V's garage. You can do this in two ways:
1) Buying vehicles with credits - Starting from Act 2 you will keep receiving offers to buy vehicles. Related quests will be added to the journal. Unfortunately, the cars are expensive. Even the cheapest models cost several thousand credits.

2) Receive vehicles for completing quests - These can be rewards for completing selected main and side missions.
The game also allows you to steal cars – this is especially helpful in the initial phase of the game before you buy or receive a better vehicle. This topic is described in more detail on the Car - how to steal or buy? page.
Airplanes / flying machines - can you use them?

The game doesn't let you use flying vehicles. However, you will fly as a passenger in some quests. The first chance to fly over Night City appears during the prologue for the Corpo life path.
Can you lose your car?

Yes, but only if it is a vehicle that does not belong to V. If you move away from a car that isn't yours, then start a larger mission or use fast travel, you may lose that vehicle.
This problem does not concern vehicles owned by V. You can recall the vehicles you own without restriction. They cannot be lost or destroyed. When the car is called, it will automatically drive up to V.
Boats - are they available in the game?
No, the game doesn't have boats. You can, however, swim and dive. Some unique underwater places in Cyberpunk 2077 can contain loot.
Public transport - is it in the game?

No, you cannot use a cab, uber, or any other form of public transport. However, the game has a fast travel mechanic. Thanks to it, you can get different parts of the city in an instant. There are 150 fast travel points in Night City. More about the fast travel mechanic on Fast Travel - how to use? page.
