Cyberpunk 2077: How to steal car?
This page of the Cyberpunk 2077 guide will tell you how to steal cars. You will find out how the theft process looks like and what are the requirements for stealing a car. We also inform you how to buy vehicles and use them whenever you want to as well as how to call them on request.
Stealing a vehicle

Stealing a car in Cyberpunk 2077 is not a fully automated process. You may have problems with it, especially in the initial phase of the game – you need to develop V's certain attributes to steal a car.
Stealing a parked car is only possible if you have put enough points into the Technical Ability. The required number of attribute points varies depending on the type of vehicle you want to steal. More luxurious/rare machines require more points in the Technical Ability. Information about the required number of points is displayed after approaching a parked vehicle.

The important information is that some of the vehicles found in the game world are not secured, i.e. they are not locked. You can enter them right away and drive.
Additional hint - If you are looking for a better car that can be stolen without breaking in, check out the parking lot in front of the Afterlife bar. You should be able to find some of the more luxurious vehicles – their doors will probably be open.

Stealing a passing car is only possible if you have put enough points into the Body attribute. Information about the required number of points is displayed when approaching the vehicle's door.

You need to develop the Body attribute to have enough strength to throw the driver out of the cab.

Theft can be reported to the police – at least 1 police star will appear next to the mini-map. It is best to leave the place as soon as possible – you don't want to risk getting chased.
Buying a vehicle

Starting from the second act of the campaign, you can receive messages with offers to purchase vehicles.

All received offers will be transferred to your journal and placed in a new category – Rides. This will allow you to easily follow the list of vehicles you can purchase. In addition, you can set them as active to easily reach the places where the machines are.

When you get to a vehicle, interact with it to purchase it with credits. From now on, this machine will belong to V – you will be able to call it up on request.
Since vehicles are expensive, we recommend checking out the Credits – how to earn and what to buy? page in the FAQ section of the guide.
