Cyberpunk 2077: Where to get Crafting specs?
This page of the Cyberpunk 2077guide will show you how to get crafting schemes - Crafting Spec. With them, you will be able to make new items (weapons, armor, grenades, medicines, etc.) using crafting materials.
For more information about crafting, check out the Crafting and weapon upgrades.

You start Cyberpunk 2077 with a dozen or so schematics for crafting items. However, these are the simplest types of weapons, consumables, and ammunition.
You won't be able to craft more advanced items right away, even if you can get the right crafting materials. You must first unlock new blueprints (Crafting Spec) – they are necessary for crafting items.

You can acquire new schematics mainly by progressing through the game. They can be found in the game world as loot, or they can be received as rewards for certain quests. These crafting specs are received for free. The disadvantage is that you have no control over the order and circumstances of obtaining schematics.

If you want to get a crafting spec from a specific category, you can buy it from a trader. Visit a store that sells the items you are interested in - for example, firearms stores sell schemes of new guns.

Crafting specs for iconic items (such as iconic weapons - an example in the picture) are acquired in a different way. When you get an iconic item, you automatically get their schematics. This helps you to further improve this item so it won't become useless after a few hours (e.g. low DPS or poor armor value).

Obviously, obtaining a new crafting spec is not the only requirement for creating an item. You also need two other things:
- Crafting materials - The rarer the item you want to make, the more materials you need, including those rarer ones. You can find materials while exploring the world, buy them, or get them by dismantling items.
- Perks to craft rare items - Specifically the perks from the Crafting tree. True Craftsman perk enables the production of rare items, Grease Monkey perk the production of epic items, and Edgerunner Artisan perk lets you make legendary ones.
