How to unlock skills and attributes?

In Cyberpunk 2077 you develop your character by investing points into attributes and perks. The vast majority of activities that you perform during the game, such as completing main jobs, side jobs, gigs and killing opponents, will earn you experience points. Once you have earned the appropriate amount of XP, your character will advance to the next level of experience (level 50 max) and will receive one attribute point to allocate.

You can allocate the attribute points you've obtained in the character tab of the game's main menu. The upper left corner displays the number of attribute points that can be invested in one of five available categories: Body, Reflexes, Technical Ability, Cool and Intelligence. Each category is associated with specific character skills and unlocks access to unique perks. To distribute an attribute point, highlight the selected category and then hold down the corresponding key or button (F on PC).
