Mechanics-wise, the production resembles a first-person shooter set in cyberspace. Every server we break into is a visually different location, densely filled with various enemies and security measures. For our successes, we are awarded credits that can be spent on special content packs with equipment: from disposable items, through server mods and Praxis Kits, to new kinds of weapons. Players who would like to develop their character faster can make use of the built-in microtransaction system. Visually, the game offers an unusual style since almost all elements of the environment are composed of polygons.

Quarantine is a turn-based strategy game, in which we manage an international agency established to fight against pandemics caused by viruses, bacteria, and prions. Our main task is detecting diseases, halting their spread and developing therapies to cure the infected. We must also recruit specialists from various disciplines – medics, scientists, diplomats, and security forces’ agents – and send them on missions to different parts of the world. As they gain experience, they also develop new skills and become more efficient. We must also collect samples, conduct researches, upgrade technology and set up quarantines to stop diseases from spreading. Our efficiency determines how much funds our organization receives, which can be used to upgrade our command center and equipment. The progress of epidemic is managed by complex artificial intelligence modules, thanks to whichthe germs can e.g. get through quarantines or mutate, becoming immune to the therapies we developed.

The players are facing levels of differing shape, filled with tiles and balloons whose colors correspond to the colors of the birds trapped inside. Our job is to free the required number of birds, which means puncturing the right balloons. However, we can only do so when there are two balloons of the same color right next to each other. Similarly to other titles, Angry Birds Blast forces us to think two steps ahead, a prerequisite that often proves to be invaluable when attempting to gain the desired combination. The gameplay is further complemented by a limited number of moves, as well as numerous special items that yield certain bonuses.

The player is taken to a fantasy land which is being torn apart by the chaos of war. The players join the titular brotherhood, which seems to be the last hope the land of Olyndale has. The adventure begins once the player has created their character - one's in-game avatar represents one of the four races available, as well as two specialties chosen from six available in total. As a result, unusual combinations of character classes can be created in this game. The player develops their character gradually thanks to the in-game system, but also gathers and crafts new weapons and armors. The game world consists of 58 different locations and 60 randomly generated dungeons. Exploration combined with fighting the enemies encountered (including powerful bosses) constitutes the pillar of the gameplay. Furthermore, the game brings hundreds of story-based quests and side missions. The players complete the quests together, but they can also compete against one another in PvP battles. Interestingly, the player can be an owner of a house here (a base of operations that can be decorated to one's liking).

Puzzle, Experimental/artistic, Exploration Games, FPP, Indie Games, Singleplayer.

An original puzzle game with exploration elements, created by a small debuting team, William Chyr Studio. Manifold Garden takes the players to an irrational world where laws of physics are constantly being broken. The core of the game lies in exploration of unusual surroundings, unraveling its mysteries and rules but also solving numerous puzzles which requires the players to think unconventionally. The game is presented from a first-person perspective and the environment consists of architectonic creations that defy the laws of physics, e.g. never-ending steps or 3D labyrinths. Gravitation isn't always the same here, which means that we can walk not only on ground but also on walls and ceilings. However, in order to discover new paths that lead to new stages we should demonstrate our ability to think out of the box and go beyond clichés. The graphics, based mostly on contours, feature a cartoonish style.

An original, multiplayer-oriented card game created specifically for VR goggles. The player controls a 3D avatar chosen from among 52 characters. The player observes their avatar from a third-person view and the gameplay focuses on building up the deck. During subsequent battles and encounters with other players, one expands their deck with new cards. Each card has its different, unique properties and juggling them appropriately is the key to success here. Apart from the multiplayer component, the game offers a single player experience - in this case, the opponents are controlled by the game's advanced AI. High-quality visuals allowed the creators to implement effects such as one that synchronizes the avatar's lip movements with words spoken by the player. Ascension VR was released both for PCs and mobile devices. Owning a VR set is required to play this game.

Adventure, Experimental/artistic, Exploration Games, FPP, Singleplayer.

An original narrative-driver production developed by the independent studio Everything Unlimited. It is another creation of Davey Wreden, the designer of the popular The Stanley Parable. The game focuses on the story of a complicated relation with a friend known as Coda. He is also a video game developer, and we get to browse the rich library of 134 titles he created. Each of them is a kind of a first-person perspective experience — completing each one takes just a few minutes and what is important: they are devoid of the characteristic elements of video games, such as an ultimate goal or the possibility of failure. The story, which is the main element of The Beginner’s Guide, is based on analysis of human psyche and cannot be unambiguously interpreted. The title is powered by the Source engine, while the gameplay is accompanied by the commentary of Davey Wreden himself, which is an integral part of the complex plot.

A 3D fighting game in the vein of Power Stone that is a debut project of the French studio Piranaking. Lastfight is based on a popular comic LASTMAN. In contrast to classic beat‘em ups in which the characters move on two-dimensional stages, Lastfight introduces small 3D arenas. This way, the player can try to get their opponent from behind, or use the elements of the environment – for example, hitting an enemy with an armchair. The combat system is clearly arcade and requires some manual skills to master the combo sequences. In all, the players can choose from a set of ten fighters. Lastfight offers three main gameplay modes: story campaign, and one-on-one or two-on-two duels. Aside from that, a few extra modes have been prepared, including Free for All, where everybody clashes with everybody, Endless, in which the objective is survival with only one health bar, and Pinball, consisting of throwing balls at our enemy. Lastfight employs a lowbrow, comic book-like visual style.

An RPG from the dungeon crawler genre, developed by the independent studio Goblinz. Players are taken to fantasy world filled with dungeons to explore, treasures to find and monsters to defeat. At the same time, Dungeon Rusher offers a humorous approach to classic heroic fantasy tropes. We lead a party of adventurers, who must defeat a lord of darkness, dwelling in the deepest dungeon. Our team will consist of a shaman, an archeress, a warlike dwarf and a bard. Gameplay comes down to exploring and fighting enemies as we travel through two-dimensional map. When we meet hostile creatures, we are taken on the battlefield and engage in turn-based combat, which requires proper positioning of our fighters and wise use of their abilities. We also find many items, including weaponry, and there are crafting and trading systems. Aside from single player campaign, Dungeon Rushers offers a multiplayer mode to fight against other players.
