Developed by Xaviant Games, creators of Lichdom: Battlemage, The Culling is a multiplayer first-person survival game. It is heavily inspired by such titles as The Hunger Games or Battle Royale. As one of 16 contestants, you are sent to an island where, in order to win, you have to kill everybody else before they kill you. Prior to a battle, each contestant can choose three perks, which provide various bonuses and useful skills. Focusing on close combat, the game offers a wide array of melee weapons, allows you to set traps, and features an extensive combat system that allows you to attack in many different ways. There are also bows and firearms available, but they do not play a crucial role in the game. Apart from a very simple crafting system, there is also a big collection of useful items that can come in handy during battles.

Project Resurgence is an episodic RPG developed by Nectar Game Studios. The game's action takes place in Lumen, a dark fantasy/steampunk world, slowly recovering after a grand cataclysm. Connected by the game's main plot, each episode tells the story of different characters and takes place in a different part of the game's world. The primary source of inspiration for the developers of Project Resurgence were the classic cRPG games from the second half of the 90s. In Project Resurgence, the players control a group of adventurers, recruited from the many available NPCs. Each and everyone of them has a unique personality and talents. There are two combat modes available - turn based and real time with pause. As in every game in the genre, Project Resurgence has a proper character progression and stat systems, but the plot and hard moral choices are the primary focus of the game.

The biggest novelty introduced in the Wasteland Workshop expansion is the option to tame or subjugate various kinds of hostile wasteland creatures, from beasts such as the Deathclaw to humanoid opponents, like bandits. Once captured, they can be kept in personally designed cages and let out when the situation calls for it, or we simply feel like doing it, for instance: during an assault on a mutant encampment or to provide a unique entertainment to the inhabitants of our settlement. A full-fledged continuation of a science-fiction turn-based strategy developed by Mode 7 Games. In its premise, Frozen Synapse 2 doesn’t differ much from what its predecessor offered, and focuses on combat using small units, emphasizing strategic planning. The main distinguishing element of the game (and the whole series) is the fact that the encounters are turn-based, but the players make their moves simultaneously, rather than alternately. This forces a completely different approach from the players, and keeps them on their toes when anticipating the next move of their enemy. In contrast to its predecessor, Frozen Synapse 2 has a much more open world, directly resulting in bigger maps, which has an utmost impact on the strategic layer of the game. The whole game is seen from a good old top-down view, and introduces a similar stern visual style, with a rather cold color palette.

The action takes place in 1986 when a mysterious organization kidnaps the leaders of the world's two main superpowers: Reagan and Gorbachev. With both the world peace and themselves being at risk, the two presidents have to put aside their differences and join forces, for only cooperation will allow them to escape and prevent a nuclear apocalypse. The gameplay mechanics are inspired by classic top-down shooters. The players’(playing either solo or in cooperation mode) task is to break through maps that are full of foes. Since the protagonists are not bulletproof, the key to success is to devise and apply an adequate strategy instead of mindlessly emptying the clips of their weapons. Both goals require extended effort, including resource gathering, constructing buildings, or recruiting military forces and leading them in battle. Interestingly enough, the game’s economy is based on milk, which can be gathered from grazing cows. Max Ammo is a third-person shooter for mobile devices developed by the indie studio Mantis Shrimp. When planet Earth is attacked by Reptors, one of the world's greatest special agents is sent to fight them - our mustached protagonist. His task is not that complicated, he has to shoot everything in his way. That includes not only regular, one-shot opponents, but also more powerful bosses, whose defeat is based on how good our battle tactics was. A vast array of available weapons, moving from cover to cover, and simply avoiding our enemies' bullets makes our quest significantly easier. Additionally, we gather gold during our adventures, which can be spent on upgrading our arsenal and armor. Max Ammo is a free-to-play game with optional microtransactions. The game features easy on the eye, comic book-like visuals.

Adventure, Ghosts, Horror, Point-and-click.

An adventure horror game from Darkling Room studios, creators of the Last Crown series and the Dark Fall trilogy. Once again, we assume the role of Nigel Danvers, a researcher who devoted himself to supernatural cases. This time, he planned to spend Halloween investigating a haunted hotel in small port town. The story of The Last Crown: Midnight Horror draws inspiration from old tales and beliefs related to Celtic festival of Samhain. Even though we will meet old faces, the game has been polished as a standalone production, meaning that knowledge of events from previous titles of the series isn’t necessary. As far as game mechanics go, The Last Crown: Midnight Horrors is a classic adventure game, so we mainly explore locations, collect items and solve puzzles. Some of the latter require usage of authentic gadgets used by modern ghost hunters, while others come down to recreating old pagan rituals. The Last Crown: Midnight Horror stands out with its monochromatic style – for most of the time we are presented with black and white visuals.

In terms of gameplay, the title is very much like Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft, focusing on fighting subsequent battles with personally built deck of cards symbolizing characters, items, spells, etc. Mabinogi Duel features two basic modes of entertainment. The first is an extensive and constantly expanded single-player campaign in which we traverse subsequent lands, taking part in duels with numerous local warlords and a bit more challenging bosses. For people preferring living opponents there is a PvP Arena mode, where we can fight against other players from around the world and exchange cards.

The second installment in the new sports series launched by EA Sports in 2014 as a spiritual successor to the UFC Undisputed franchise. Like the title suggests, the gameplay is focused on MMA matches and concentrates on recreating this spectacular sport as faithfully and realistically as possible. The most noteworthy among the novelties introduced in EA Sports UFC 2 are the numerous enhancements in the combat model (especially the ground game) and the new Knockout Physics system, responsible for executing powerful and spectacular finishing strikes. The game offers the widest selection of actual male and female MMA fighters thus far, as well as a wide range of single and multiplayer modes, especially the career mode that lets us lead our character from the bottom up to the top of leaderboards. The game also features the Ultimate Team collectible card mode known from other productions of EA Sports.

A mobile "match-3" logic game enriched with strategy elements associated with the tower defense genre. Jake Sones, a former employee at Blizzard Entertainment, is the game's co-creator. The player's goal is to defend scientist against hordes of zombies. A path leads to each of the eggheads and several kinds of brains are distributed throughout it; these attract zombies that in turn, eat them. The player's task is to combine three identical brains into groups, which makes them disappear, and as a result, the same happens to zombies willing to eat them. Combining the brains together earns the player points that allow them to unleash different special powers, such as immobilizing the enemy for a specified period of time. The pace of gameplay in Zombie Match Defense is slow, however, for the zombies move only after the player does. On the other hand, the game is not easy and requires good planning. Zombie Match Defense offers hilarious visuals.

Adventure, Puzzle Elements, Singleplayer.

A narrative puzzle-adventure game referred to as „interactive fiction”, developed by the team of The Coding Monkeys, known so far mostly for the logic game Rules! and the mobile adaptations of popular board games Carcassonne and Lost Cities. Plot of One Button Travel revolves around mysterious scientific discovery, that may, in the near future, revolutionize the lives of all human beings. However, in order for this breakthrough theory to become reality, it is necessary to travel a quite long, difficult road and unravel tons of mysteries and puzzles. The gameplay itself is rather difficult to classify, and reaching the finale of the story requires players to hold a number of interactive conversations and overcome numerous obstacles in form of fairly abstract logical challenges. The game is presented in a heavily experimental form and features minimalist artwork, accompanied by atmospheric soundtrack.
