KCD2: Best horse
While playing KCD 2 you will meet a variety of horses with different stats. On this page of the guide we have prepared for you a list of the best mounts available in the game.
The horse is the basic means of transportation in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. Therefore, it is worth taking care of it and making sure that it is always in its peak form. A good idea might also be to swap your mount for one with better statistics. On this guide page, you will find a list of the best horses that you can acquire in Warhorse Studios' latest game.
Can you have several horses at once?
One thing to note when considering a new potential horse is that Henry cannot own more than one horse at a time. When switching to a new animal, you will lose access to your current mount.
Because of that, it is worth seriously considering this decision and carefully analyze all the pros and cons. Once a horse is traded, you cannot get it back.
Pebbles
Pebbles is Henry's original horse, on which he rides in the opening scene of KCD 2. After the events of the prologue, Pebbles disappears, but you can easily get him back by performing the actions described on the page How to get a horse?.
Pebbles does not have the best statistics, as the stableman who found the horse informs us. However, if you ride Pebbles long enough, you will eventually unlock a special, hidden perk - Good Old Pebbles. This perk drastically improves the statistics of the animal, allowing it to confidently compete with the best mounts in the game. So if you show a bit of patience, your loyalty to Pebbles will pay off greatly.
Herring
Herring is a chestnut-colored horse that you will encounter during the Back in the Saddle quest. During it, you will talk to a hired hand named Kabat, who will offer you Herring for free.
When approaching a new horse, you can compare its statistics. Just press the button that will appear on the screen. Do this before making a decision about exchanging the horse.
At this stage of the game, Herring will most likely have better statistics than Pebbles. The exchange offer is worth it if you care about an immediate increase in your mount's statistics. With the new horse, you will receive full equipment from the stableman. Don't forget to put it on your mount before setting off.
Bronka
Bronka is a beautiful, black mare, which you can find in the southern part of the Trosky region. We come across it near the battlefield, so we can assume that its previous owner died in battle. It doesn't mean that we can just take it. First, we will have to "legalize" Henry's ownership.
Mikolai from the nomad camp in the Trosky region is dealing with the matters of illegally obtained horses. Get on the stolen horse and head to the place. Try to "park" the horse right next to Mikolai - sometimes when talking with the NPC, the dialogue option to become the mount's owner does not appear if the horse is standing too far away.
Do not leave the stolen horse alone. An animal that isn't towed may simply walk away if you stray too far.
During the conversation with Mikolai, you can sell Bronka or set her as your new mount. The base fee for service of legalization and change of ownership is 1210 groschen (you can negotiate). After this process, Bronka will become your property and replace the previous mount.
Meadow
Meadow in the Kuttenberg region is a horse worth finding. The chestnut stallion belongs to the bandits residing in the camp, in the central part of the region, slightly south of the trail running through the middle of the region.
You can try to defeat all the bandits, or sneak into the camp at night and just steal the animal. When you manage to do this, you must go through a similar process of legalizing the mount, as described above.
In the Kuttenberg region, this process is handled by a merchant named Stoia. You will find him on the track, not far from the western gate of Kuttenberg city.
