Kingdom Come Deliverance 2: Where to go first?
KCD 2 is a huge game that can easily make new players paralyzed by choice. This guide page will tell you what to do at the very beginning of your adventure.
The open world in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 can really feel overwhelming for new players. After the prologue, you're not forced to follow any specific path. On this guide page, we will suggest which locations and activities are worth checking out as soon as possible. This way, your initial gameplay won't be filled with unnecessary difficulties.
Head to the blacksmith
The Radovan blacksmith quests are one of the two paths you can follow right after the prologue. From our experience, this branch is more accessible than similar quests for the miller.
While visiting Radovan, you will learn the basics of blacksmithing and you will also forge your first sword (you will be able to keep it).
The blacksmith will also send you on a quest to find a cart for Semine, where you will also have the opportunity to get Pebbles back (your lost horse). Completing the cart sequence will bring you a substantial amount of rewards, loot and cash.
You can read more about the blacksmith's path on the dedicated page of our guide: Blacksmith's Tasks.
Get your horse back
Henry's horse is in the stud farm, next to the manor house in Semine. You will reach the place by completing one of the first quests in the blacksmith's path. While you're at it, you can take care of some other matters as well.
Henry can persuade the stable boy to hand over the animal quite easily. Pebbles facilitates moving around vast areas. The horse also comes with its own equipment, which significantly improves equipment management.
You can learn more about the horse on the page How to get a horse?.
Get your dog back
Mutt, Henry's faithful dog, vanishes after the prologue just like Pebbles. To retrieve him, you will have to perform a fairly long series of quests that will take you to various parts of the region.
The four-legged companion helps Henry in battle and also performs a number of commands and orders.
You can learn more about the dog on the FAQ page Where is the dog (Mutt)?.
Complete the combat training
While talking to a peasant woman right after the prologue, you will learn about Tomcat, a regional warrior, skilled in wielding weapons. It is recommended to complete the Combat Training task associated with him. You will learn more advanced combat techniques, which will prove useful very soon after that.
