Storm is the final quest of the first half of Kingdom Come 2. It concludes the storyline of the Trosky region and allows you to reach Kuttenberg. This quest will require a considerable amount of stealth. On this guide page, we described how to get through torture, how to find and kill Istvan Toth, how to obtain King Sigismund's orders, escape from the castle and the entire Trosky region.

How to survive torture?

The quest will begin in the torture chamber, where you're interrogated by Istvan Toth. You can tell him what he wants to know, stay silent, or try to deceive him. In the end, even if you manage to pass all the skill checks related to cheating Istvan, you'll have two options at the end: to be silent or to speak. Even if you don't let out a word, eventually Godwin will reveal crucial information to save Henry's life.

Silence or a failed attempt at fraud will result in torture. If Henry is tortured, he will be significantly weakened for the rest of the quest - his maximum health will be cut down to 60% and most of his stats will be reduced by half. As a result, the optimal choice is to tell Istvan the truth at the first opportunity - after all, he will eventually find out what he wants to know, either from you or from Godwin. After Istvan leaves, you will be released by Katherine. Search the guard she killed and equip his gear. Your next objective is to eliminate Istvan Toth.

How to kill Istvan Toth?

You will find Istvan in his room at the top of the Crone Tower. In the courtyard, you will find enemy soldiers, so the kitchen will be a safer route - go up a few floors to the pantry. Use a dagger to silently kill the guard standing with his back to you. After that, leave the pantry and go outside, and head towards the wooden railing of the Crone Tower. On the way, you will watch a cutscene in which Istvan sends Erik on a mission to Kuttenberg.

The railing will lead you to the interior of the Crone. As you climb the tower, you will see two soldiers sitting at a table - wait until one of them gets up and leaves to the next room, then quietly kill the other one. You can also take the lock picks from the table. There are no more guards waiting for you; you can keep going. One floor above the medic's room, in the dining room, you will finally face Istvan.

You can talk to Istvan all you want - no one is going to come to his aid. Beware of the Dread test - if you fail, Istvan will attack you (15 Dread points were not enough to succeed). Now, you'll have to make a decision on how to deal with your archenemy - you can kill him immediately in a cutscene or challenge him to a duel (if you don't have a weapon, Henry will grab a long sword from a nearby wall before the fight). Istvan is not a very demanding enemy because he doesn't have a helmet, but don't let him clinch with you - he is strong and can easily disarm you, especially if you've been tortured, so keep him at a distance. Eventually, Henry will kill Istvan and retrieve his father's sword.

How to obtain the orders of King Sigismund?

After killing Istvan, go upstairs to his bedroom. There, in one of the chests, you will find your equipment (be ready to discard a large amount of items or drink a strength-increasing potion to avoid being overloaded) and a master key to the castle. Search the remaining chests and shelves in the room. You won't find anything in there, so proceed further. Go down to the scribe's room and repeat the search. You won't find any orders here either.

Henry will deduce that the orders must be in von Bergow's rooms. Return to the Maiden Tower by following the same outer railing as earlier on. You will meet Godwin in front of von Bergow's room door - open the door for him using the master key you've received earlier. Search von Bergow's room together - Godwin will eventually find the orders in one of the chests by the wall. Talk to him once you're ready to leave the castle.

How to escape from Trosky?

Follow Godwin to the tunnel underneath the castle. Once inside the tunnels, keep going forward, watching out for dead ends, until you reach the door, which you can open with the master key. You will escape from the castle, but the news of your escape will have spread - you will have to leave the region while avoiding the soldiers patrolling the area.

You need to reach Katherine's contact: Mika. Put on your stealth costume and make your way through the forest - avoid the torchlight and do not take the main paths. If you have a potion for seeing in the dark, it's worth using it here. You will find Mika tied up and being interrogated by a soldier - approach the soldier from behind, kill him, and untie Mika.

Your last objective is to reach the rest of Katherine's allies. Head south, once again keeping away from the main paths, following the quest markers. Eventually, you will watch a cutscene, which will mark the end of both this quest and the storyline of the Trosky region.
