To get to the wedding and continue the storyline, you must complete one of the two side story threads. On this page of the guide we have described how to complete all of Radowan's blacksmith quests.

To continue the main storyline of Kingdom Come 2, you must complete one of the two side storylines. Completing any of them will allow you to get to the wedding related to the next main quest. On this guide page, we described how to complete all of the tasks of the blacksmith Radovan, how to find the stolen cart and the hermit's broken sword.

The Blacksmith's Son

The first task is very simple and serves mainly as a blacksmithing tutorial. Go to Tachov, to the forge of the blacksmith Radovan. Talk to the blacksmith and ask him about work. You will have to forge a sword to prove yourself - all the necessary materials are in the chest next to the anvil. The mini-game consists of heating iron in the fire until it turns yellow, then hitting it with a hammer in various places, at equal intervals. Radovan will guide you through the forging process.

As a reward, you will receive a high-quality hunting sword and a quarter next to the forge, with a private bed and a chest for storing items. Talk to Radovan once again to start the next task.

The Jaunt

Radovan will send you to Semine to find out what happened to his missing cart intended for the local lord. Reach the place and watch the cut-scene, after which you will get into a fight with a drunkard. After the fight, you will meet with Lord Semine and Captain Gnarly, who will agree to take you with them in search of the cart.

You set off the next morning - Lord Semine will let you eat goulash from the pot on the hearth and sleep in the loft of the barn. In the meantime, go to the stableman at the horse paddock. He has a horse for sale - you will recognize your lost Pebbles. You can persuade the stableman to give it back (8 Speech was enough for us) or buy it back for 160 groschen (you can bargain).

After going to the courtyard, talk to Lord Semine and head out. Follow the companions and have a conversation with them. After a moment, Lord Semine will offer you a short sparring session. If you agree, you will stop on the sidelines and after talking to the captain, you will start a stick fight. Lord Semine can perform long series of perfect blocks, so be ready to perform many ripostes in a row. If you win, you will receive Captain Gnarly's shield - it is very durable compared to other shields.

Shortly after that, you will stop in Troskowitz, where you have to ask the bailiff in the town hall about the cart. Return to Lord Semine and continue on your journey. You will stop at the crossroads again - you need to examine the bag of coal lying on the path, near the cemetery gate.

A bit further you will stop in search of the cart. Turn around and go west, where you will notice a large, orange boulder. The tracks of the cart lead past it - follow them to find the cart hidden in the bushes. Inform your companions about it.

Follow the Lord on foot, and when he orders you to scout, take the path right next to the aforementioned cliff. From its peak, you will notice a small camp and three bandits. Return to your companions - you must get rid of the enemies. If you have a bow with you, you can go back to the cliff and support them from a distance, otherwise you will have to fight at close quarters. The enemies are not overly well-armed, so you should be able to deal with them with the help of the Lord and the captain. Search the camp for loot and talk to Lord Semine.

After the cut-scene, you will engage in another skirmish with the bandits - their leader is dangerous, he has a shield and a helmet with a visor covering his entire head. Stay away from him until one of your allies attacks him, then support him in battle. The rest of the bandits shouldn't cause you any trouble. After the fight, you will receive an order to capture the blacksmith's assistant. He hid in the previous camp, where you fought with three bandits. You have to fight the man or convince him to go peacefully (in our case, 15 Dread was enough).

Search the camp, take the loot, and talk to Lord Semine, who will take you by cart to Troskowitz. Get off the cart there and return to the blacksmith Radovan in Tachov. Tell him about everything to complete the task. As a reward, you will receive a cuirass, a very rare armor element for the early section of the game.

The Hermit

Your next task is to obtain a broken sword from the hermit, which Radovan could forge into a wedding gift. Go to Troskowitz and talk to the innkeeper to learn more about the hermit. She will give you a few clues.

Next, talk to the scribe, and then to the apothecary's wife, Gerda (convince or bribe her - 12 Might was enough to convince Gerda). Make sure you have a spade (you can buy it from the merchant in Troskowitz) and head west from the village. There you will find a makeshift grave - dig it up, take the loot and read the books and documents that you will find in it.

Head east on the map, to Apollonia. First, take care of the optional mission objective and explore the area east of the main path. You will find a few destroyed huts here, and a black horse among them. Next, head up the hill in search of the hermit. He lives between two large rocks - the road can be somewhat misleading, so first go up the hill, then start descending in search of a narrow, winding path to the hut.

Inside it, ask the hermit about everything you've discovered, and he will quickly reveal the truth to you. In exchange for the broken sword, he wants you to deliver a message to widow Margaret, whom you will find at the Troskowitz cemetery. She asks you for help in digging up the remains from under the rose bush next to the cemetery and re-burying them at the cemetery, on consecrated ground. The gravedigger is walking around the cemetery, but in our case, he didn't pay any attention to us digging up of graves, so you don't have to worry about potential consequences.

On the way back, just before the hut, you will come across the Knights of the Cross, who came here to kill Konrad, who claims to be the hermit. Approach the cottage and stop when Konrad aims at you with a crossbow. Don't move and calmly answer his questions, and he will trust you and let you approach. Ask him about his identity, why the knights are hunting him, and where the broken sword is. After everything, you can decide whether to believe Konrad and help him defend against the knights, or to kill him.

It's more beneficial to help Konrad - you will have several bodies to search instead of one, and unlike the knights, Konrad won't kick you out of the hut after the fight and won't perceive searching the bodies as theft.

If you want to eliminate Konrad, make sure you first get the location of the sword from him. Otherwise, you will have to look for clues - they are locked in chests with demanding locks, to which Konrad does not have the key with him.

You will finally learn the location of the grave - to the northwest of the hermit's hut. Go up the hill, where under the split tree you will find a grave and a sword stuck in the ground. Take it and return to the blacksmith Radovan. Take the materials from the chest in the forge and reforge the broken sword through the blacksmith mini-game. Give it to the blacksmith to finish the thread. You can now go with the blacksmith to the wedding - get yourself a fancy outfit (clothing with a high charisma parameter) from the tailor in Troskowitz and talk to the blacksmith when you are ready to continue the main storyline.
