KCD2: Where is the treasure from Vidlak? Vidlak Bandit’s Map

In the world of Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, there are various treasure maps, which can lead you to valuable loot. One of them is the Vidlak Bandit’s Map in Trosky region. On this page, you will learn how to obtain it, as well as how to read the hints contained in it.

Where is the Vidlak Bandit’s Map?

The Vidlak Bandit’s Map is located in the bandit camp, in the northern part of the Trosky region. This is the same location that you will visit while completing a series of quests related to retrieving the dog. You can find more on this topic on the guide page Where is the dog?.

A group of bandits is hanging around the camp, some of whom are using bows. Fighting against multiple opponents can easily end in defeat, so we have a few tips for you:

1. Try to lure out individual opponents. Luring one of the bandits doesn't necessarily mean that the whole camp will notice the fight and launch an attack.
2. Before using a melee weapon, try to fire a few shots from a crossbow or bow. Use the hilly terrain and numerous rocks, which will make it easier for you to take a good shooting position.
3. You can also try to attack the bandits at night. A series of silent, stealthy attacks can save you from a dangerous confrontation.

Once you deal with the bandits, search their bodies. One of them should have a map leading to the treasure.

Don't forget to take the keys as well! You will need them to open the chest (otherwise, you will have to use a lockpick).

Where is the treasure?

The Vidlak Bandit’s Map is not very detailed, but from the layout of the rivers, it can be inferred that it refers to the area west of the camp. To reach the hideout at the hollow tree, go west along the forest stream.

Once you reach the fallen tree, look around in the puddle next to the protruding roots. You will find there a silver cup and a tin plate. Henry points out that this is certainly not the entire treasure, and the rest must have been washed away by the flowing water.

Continue your journey along the water south. Upon reaching a large backwater, approach the bushes on the right side (looking south). Among them, you will find a chest.

Open the container using the key stolen earlier. Inside you will find:

1. 300 groschen;
2. Golden crucifix;
3. Silver cup;
4. Tin plate.

Particularly noteworthy is the golden crucifix worth almost 1500 groschen. It's worth keeping this item and selling it to a buyer with whom you have a good relationship. In this way, you will be able to negotiate the best price.
