Altars of Reflection in Ghost of Yotei play a key role in developing the character. For this reason, it is worth spending some time exploring and looking for nearby shrines. Our interactive map will help you locate all the shrines and quickly develop Atsu's abilities.

What are Altars of Reflection?

  1. After approaching an Altar of Reflection, swipe down on your controller's touchpad. Atsu will bow and receive a skill point. This can be used to unlock a new technique from several available skill trees.
  2. Shrines are often found in enemy camps or near bosses. To use them, you will first need to get rid of the surrounding threat.
  3. Altars can also be a reward for finding a hidden location or solving an environmental puzzle.

All Altars of Reflection in Yotei Grasslands

There are 12 Altars of Reflection in this region:

  1. This altar can be found in the area with the optional boss, Crow Genzo.
  1. The shrine is located in the eastern part of the region. It's connected to the Lost in Reflection mission - a missing monk will lead you to the shrine.
  1. The Altar of Reflection is located in a village filled with Saito's soldiers in the northern part of the region. To gain access to it, you will have to retake the location from the enemy.
  1. At the southeastern end of the map you will find a small cave behind a waterfall. Inside, another Altar of Reflection awaits you.
  1. The next shrine is located not far west of the previous one. To gain access to it, however, you will have to defeat Saito's men stationed in the area.
  1. This is the southwestern edge of the Yotei Grasslands region. You'll find the altar behind a thicket of bamboo, above one of the steep slopes.
  1. The altar will get unlocked after killing all enemies in the camp in the north of the region.
  1. A shrine near the cave where three wanted thugs are hiding. Near the border between regions. To reach it, you have to climb a steep rock.
  1. Climb the wall next to the Stone Spire Hideout. The altar awaits on a rocky ledge.
  1. In a cave at the river crossing. The central part of the region.
  1. Approach the location from the northeast. The shrine is after you clear a steep slope and chasm.
  1. Behind a wall of bamboo.

All Altars of Reflection in Tokachi Range

There are 7 Altars of Reflection in this region:

  1. The first altar can be found in the eastern part of the region, next to the Monument Tree.
  1. Another collectible awaits to the south, in the cave beneath Bamboo Rock. To gain access to it, you will have to defeat the bear.
  1. Before unlocking the next altar, you'll need to clear the Marshland Homestead location of enemies.
  1. The fourth shrine is located on the river bank. It will be guarded by a mini-boss, Ronin.
  1. You'll gain access to the final shrine after defeating the enemies in the Huranui Mill location in the northern part of the region. A squad of Saito's soldiers awaits you here.
  1. In the northern part of the region, in a cave beyond a narrow passage.
  1. South of the Tomamu Marshlands, near the Dueling Tree. Destroy the stone blockade with a grappling hook.

All Altars of Reflection in Nayoro Wilds

In this region, you'll find 2 Altars of Reflection:

  1. The first shrine is located in the western part of the region. Climb into the cave near Ikidomari Grove.
  1. You will find the altar in front of the waterfall in the eastern part of the map.
  1. At the southern border of the region.

All Altars of Reflection in Teshio Mountains

In this region, you'll find 17 Altars of Reflection:

  1. To reach the first altar, you must liberate Port Soya in the northern part of the region from Saito's soldiers.
  1. The next altar is located on the northern edge of the map. To reach it, you must light the lanterns in the Camp Inari Hideout location.
  1. The altar is located in a locked room. To get to it, solve the puzzle to create a passage, and then arrange the statues so that the foxes stand back to back.
  1. Get close to the edge and use the grappling hook to lower yourself to the escarpment below.
  1. The next shrine is located in the eastern part of the region, in a location filled with enemies.
  1. The altar is in the western part of the region, in a locked building.
  1. To reach this altar on the western border, you'll need to defeat the Nine Tails leader.
  1. It's located in the southeast part of the region's map.
  1. Defeat all enemies in the Snow Drift Springs Hideout, then solve the fox statues puzzle.
  1. Reclaim the Crossroads Trading Post from Saito's people to gain access to the altar.
  1. It's a locked building in the southern part of the region.
  1. Climb the steep path near the northern cliff.
  1. The altar is located in the Sanctuary Grove. Pull the chain by the fox statue. This will unlock a ladder that will take you to the altar.
  1. Defeat all enemies in the deserted village. There's a puzzle box in front of the altar.
  1. Head south of the Red Crane Inn, then climb the rock next to the frozen waterfall.
  1. Deliberately fall into the trap south of the lake.
  1. In a building in the central part of the region.

All Altars of Reflection in Ishikari Plain

There are 13 Altars of Reflection in this region:

  1. The first shrine can be found in the eastern part of the map. Just climb up the rocks near the beach.
  1. The central part of the region. You'll gain access to the altar after eliminating all enemies in Bold Kaji Forge.
  1. The altar will unlock after taking over the Higashi Lumberyard location in the eastern part of the map.
  1. The shrine is located west of Sensei Takahashi's Dojo.
  1. The altar will unlock after taking over the Nishin Fishery location. You will find it in the southwestern part of the region.
  1. You will gain access to the altar after eliminating all enemies in the Broken Horn Garrison.
  1. To use this shrine, you will need to defeat all enemies in the Masked Man's Quarry.
  1. The last shrine is located in the northern part of the region. To get to it, you will have to use the grappling hook.
  1. Near the river and one of the hot springs. The central part of the region.
  1. Find a place to attach the grappling hook in the northern part of the region.
  1. In the southern part of the region. Yellow statuettes will point you in the right direction.
  1. East of Bold Kaji Forge.
  1. Eastern part of the region. Yellow statuettes will point you in the right direction. Finally, slide down the steep slope.

All Altars of Reflection in the Oshima Coast

There are 8 Altars of Reflection in this region:

  1. Liberate the Iwasaki Farmstead from the enemies to gain access to the shrine.
  1. The shrine will unlock after liberating Oiso Fishing Village.
  1. The altar is located in the southern part of the region. First, you must defeat all enemies occupying Kasuga Village.
  1. The northern part of the region, hostile location Miyama Village.
  1. Liberate the Saito Artillery Outpost from the enemies to gain access to the shrine.
  1. The shrine is located on a small island in the middle of the lake. Look for a yellow tree.
  1. It's located in the southwest corner of the map, above a steep cliff.
  1. In one of the buildings next to Matsumae Castle.

Altar of Reflection on Mount Yotei
