Onryo Armor
- Atsu's default armor. It upgrades itself automatically as you progress through the main story.
- Killing an enemy with a spirit attack or a thrown weapon can terrify them, making them take extra damage. Terrifying enemies may cause the wolf to join the fight.
Bounty Hunter Armor
- This armor is rewarded for completing the bounty on Soma the Condemned, an enemy found in the northern Yotei Grasslands near the regional border.
- It increases the timing for Perfect Parries and Perfect Dodges while giving you the ability to chain several counterattacks together. However, it also disables regular parrying. To use this armor effectively, you’ll need precision and a shift in playstyle.
Taro's Armor
- Meet the merchant Taro near the Corpse Tree. He will give you the armor for free the first time you meet him.
- It boosts your Spirit gains while you're under the effects of a cooked meal, raises your maximum health, and reduces fire and cold damage.
Dragonfly Armor
- Armor once worn by the fallen soldier Daijiro. You’ll get the related quest from the armorer Ginji at the Huranui Inn in the Tokachi Range. Complete the quest, and you’ll be rewarded with the armor.
- It quickens your draw speed and makes your arrows hit harder. For the effect to trigger, you need to shoot the arrow the moment your bow flashes.
Spider Lily Armor
- You’ll get this armor after defeating the Yokai General Spider Lily. You can find him in the region’s southeastern corner.
- This armor increases the chance for enemies to drop their weapons, which you can then throw. It also boosts the chance to stagger enemies during melee combat.
Robes for Sitturaynu
- You'll receive this outfit by completing The Heart of an Ainu quest in the Nayoro Wilds.
- This gear lets fireflies and controller vibrations guide you to Altars of Reflection and Ainu Items when you’re within 100 meters of them. Golden birds will now lead you to collectibles more often. You'll also automatically pick up flowers while mounted.
Nine-Tail Armor
- You can get this armor by infiltrating the Nine-Tails hideout during the Blood on the Snow main quest in the Teshio Ridge.
- It makes Atsu harder to spot while enhancing the damage and effects of Quickfire Weapons. Assassinations can occasionally reward you with 2 Quickfire Weapon ammo.
Crimson Kimono
- Complete the optional quest The Crimson Kimono Myth to get this armor. In the quest, follow red insects that lead you to an old manor where you can find the Kimono.
- It lets you chain kunai assassinations and makes Atsu much harder to spot. It also increases the distance of kusarigama assassinations.
Armor of the Undying
- You can get this armor by defeating the Undying Samurai in a side mission.
- It makes staggering foes easier, increases parry and dodge timing, and lets you recover health in the midst of battle. However, these bonuses require using a weapon appropriately matched to the enemy (e.g. dual katanas against spears, odachi against larger enemies, etc.).
Mercenary Attire
- Atsu automatically wears this outfit when infiltrating Ishikari Castle in the Belly of the Beast quest. You'll be able to keep it after completing the mission.
- The outfit boosts damage from throwing melee weapons and increases Spirit while throwing. Assasinating enemies also makes them drop sake, which restores a significant amount of Spirit.
Ginji Guard Armor
- You can obtain the armor during the Pride Before Tea side mission. It's located in the attic of the Joyo Teahouse.
- It reduces reload time of the tanegashima. Additionally, it lets you deflect projectiles and reduces damage taken from gunshots.
Fundoshi
- Visit enough hot springs to acquire this outfit.
- It makes running and sprinting completely silent. Atsu quickly gets cold while wearing this outfit - avoid wearing it in the chilly northern areas.
