Will Atsu from the game Ghost of Yotei face important plot choices? From the guide you will learn about the availability of important decisions in story quests, as well as smaller choices from quests and minor activities.
As you play through Ghost of Yotei, you may wonder about important choices and their long-term consequences, as well as the availability of different endings. This guide page informs about important story decisions and also discusses minor choices in side missions and those related to naming the heroine's animal allies.
- Are there choices in the main story?
- Minor choices in quests and random encounters
- Choices related to naming the horse and the wolf
Are there choices in the main story?
- The main storyline of Ghost of Yotei consists of a series of quests in which Atsu, aided by various side characters, tracks down subsequent members of the Yotei Six.
- The main storyline does not include any story choices. All mission objectives must be completed in a strictly defined way, including infiltrating hostile locations, where the path is predetermined. There are no significant dialogue decisions that could influence the conversations or have unique consequences later in the game.
- The game's storyline has a single ending, and there are no alternate endings. Atsu's journey always ends the same way, and it was the same in Ghost of Tsushima.
Minor choices in quests and random encounters
- You can expect small choices while completing side quests and during random encounters, such as encountering a group of ronin on the way.
- The main character sometimes has several options to resolve a given problem – for example, you can attack an opponent, bribe them, or not participate in the confrontation and leave the area. These are not key decisions and will not affect later relationships with characters or the type of rewards received for completing tasks.
Choices related to naming the horse and the wolf
Interestingly, the game features choices related to naming friendly animals:
- You can name the main character's horse after visiting the stable in the first region (Yotei Grasslands) and choosing one of the available mounts.
- You can name the wolf that follows the main character and helps her win some fights after the first few encounters.
In both cases, the name you choose has no impact on the game, only on what you hear during the game.
